Thank your for your interest in my art and taking the time to get to know me, my heart is full and so grateful. My name is Jennelle and I live in San Luis Obispo, CA with my husband and my 3 lovely girls. I am actually naturally very shy so putting myself out here like this is very much out of my comfort zone. In 2020 I turned 40! Yes you heard that right. eek! I never thought much would really change for me once I hit this milestone, I thought it was just another number, but since then I have felt myself longing for something more than cooking, cleaning, school projects and shuttling from various after school activities. We decided that me staying at home while our girls were little was important to us and many sacrifices were made in order to make that happen. Yet, even with those sacrifices it has been one of the best decisions we have ever made… but now my youngest is going into the 1st grade and I find myself with more time on my hands than usual and as a result Jennelle Lynn Art was born. As for my art....let me tell you right out that I am still trying to build up my confidence. Trying to not compare myself to all the amazing and talented artists out there is hard .....and honestly, I have never considered myself an artist to begin with. I have a biology degree! My job sans-kids was trapping and identifying insects for the Department of Agriculture when I lived in Hawaii .... (Oh ya, I lived in Hawaii for 5 years, Oklahoma for 2 years and grew up in Las Vegas).... anyway....art has always been a love of mine, something I have always felt deep down since I was a kid but it really hasn’t been anything more than a hobby, something I thought I was only kind of good at. Even to this day, whenever I finish something I will still look at it rather astonished that i was even capable of doing it. So when I feel that self doubt start to creep in I will try to have more self love for the talent I was given. To nurture it and have more courage to share it with others.
